ZLC Workshop on Pharmaceutical and Chemical Supply Chain Resilience

A select group of 60 professionals from BASF, Carlsberg Supply Company, Clariant, Johnson & Johnson, Novartis, Novo Nordisk, Pfizer and Roche attended to the ZLC Workshop on Pharmaceutical and Chemical Supply Chain Resilience at the Roche Tech. Ops. Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland.

This exclusive supply chain best practice sharing event of the pharmaceutical and chemical industry has been an intimate professional workshop, consisting of a mix of plenary and Best Practice sessions. The meeting has brought together a select group of key experts to present and discuss new advances in topics such as Managing Variability & Risk through Flexibility or Risk Mitigation Inventory and its financial implications. The Best Practice session allowed the invited professionals to share experiences and network with other industry peers facing similar challenges. Speakers included David Gonsalvez, Director of ZLC, Alejandro Serrano, Professor of SCM at ZLC and 3 alumni from ZLC.

This event has been an initiative of the Basel ZLOG Alumni Group, composed of 15 graduates of the MIT Zaragoza Master in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) at the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC), who are currently working at pharmaceutical and chemical companies such as Clariant, Novartis and Roche in the Basel area. The workshop has been organized with the support of Roche and the Zaragoza Logistics Center.
