Project Description

This project aims at analyzing the problems stemming from the urban freight distribution in the city of Zaragoza. Its goal is to design a series of demonstrators to prove different actions aiming at improving the supply conditions.

The main objectives of the Project are:

  • Characterize urban distribution in the city of Zaragoza
  • Identify room for improvement in the field of urban distribution in the city
  • Perform several pilot trials to improve urban distribution in the city of Zaragoza

The specific objectives of the project are:

  • Economic: To reduce operating costs in Urban Freight Logistics
  • Environmental: To reduce environmental impact of Urban Freight Logistics operations (minimizing CO2 emissions, noise)
  • Social: To reduce the number of accidents and thus improve the quality of life for citizens, reducing congestion and optimizing the use of infrastructures
