Main Researcher: María Jesús Sáenz

Other Researchers: David Johnston, Desiree Knoppen

Term: 01/21/2008-12/27/2008

Description

D. Johnston collaborated with Dr. Sáenz and Dr. Knoppen in research on collaborative learning (i.e. the learning that takes place at the level of the supply chain relationship and that aims to continuously improve the relationship). Dr. Johnston thoroughly reviewed the theoretical framework, research aims and methodologies of the scmLAB (Supply Chain Management Laboratory) that aims at facilitating collaborative learning of the involved supply chain partners through simulation.

Also, a new project on Relational Absorptive Capacity (RAC) was defined by Dr. Johnston in collaboration with ZLC. The RAC construct refers to learning processes and capabilities underlying relational innovations (i.e. “any idea, practice, or material artifact perceived to be new by the relationship”) and builds upon prior research on Absorptive Capacity.
