ScmLAB

The scmLAB (Supply Chain Management Laboratory) provides a comprehensive methodology to develop, analyze and discuss the boundary spanning processes of partnering companies in the supply chain.

The main aim of the scmLAB is to enhance organizational development and competitiveness of the participating supply chain partners. This is facilitated through a methodology which gathers participants of several companies of a supply chain in a dedicated environment that fosters experiential learning, joint decision making, and subsequent change management. The scmLAB constitutes in that sense a powerful tool for Supply Chain Innovation.

Complementary methodologies are based on the survey method and semi-structured interviews including the critical incident technique.

The scmLAB was founded in 2007 with funding from the Spanish Ministry of Education and Science (“Proyecto Singular Estratégico: Globalog”, Reference: PSE-370500-2007-1). Projects so far have been carried out with: companies from Spain, the United States and Canada. Projects generally involve buying and supplying companies simultaneously.
