In March, 2010, Aman Aligo, ZLOG Class 2011, won the Aljazeera/Sudan Tribune Entrepreneur Challenge for Development Award.
The project “The Woman and Youth League project in Yei, Sudan”, was awarded US$ 100,000 to fight under-nutrition among children and mothers, raise school fees for kids and for protecting the integrity of women who would otherwise be vulnerable to divorce. The fund gives loans to League members at low interest rates on a revolving basis.
