Congratulations on your recent promotion within Corporate HQ. You seem to be at the height of your career. How are you finding such a high level of responsibility?
It’s working hard and smart, every day, and putting your best foot forward – even in the most challenging environments, such as working for a public agency, which runs the fast growing airport, for the second year in a row in the United States. Also, having positive and strong relationships with co-workers and mentors, to achieve success in the office, is even more important.

You recently said, “The experience with ZLOG has truly paid off.” Can you expand on that a little?
The quantitative and analytical rigor of ZLOG has helped my ability to speak about and evaluate almost all issues in my job. I often have to meet with technical consultants who complete projects using models (i.e. queueing) that I learned about in ZLOG.

What have been the most challenging aspects of such a high-powered position?
It’s not really a high-powered job. The most challenging aspect are the deadlines which deliverables need meet, and working across the whole organization to help develop these deliverables.

Looking back over what you have achieved so far, does any particular experience stand out as being extremely significant along your career path?
Apart from my professional experience and the myriad of fulfilling projects I’ve been able to lead – the experience at MIT ZLOG has been extremely significant, not only because of the analytical and technical rigor that has truly helped my problem solving skills, but also the international experience the program offered, which sharpened my business operations perspective.
