Daniel Sariñena, a passionate worker and world traveller from Spain, is now Global Export/Import Logistics Complaint Handling Specialist at Anheuser-Busch InBev in Czech Republic. He studied the Master in Logistics at ZLC in 2012. After graduation, he joined the Packaging and Supply Chain Team at Procter & Gamble in Brussels where he worked for 2 years.
Congratulations on your job with AB InBev. You have been working in the Czech Republic for 4 months now. How are you settling in?
Thank you very much. Landing in Prague has been very smooth thanks to my colleagues. I have received a great deal of support both in and out of the office, allowing me to settle down very easily. Prague is also a fascinating city to live in. The architecture, history and diverse cultural events are just a few of the many advantages of living in this beautiful place.
To date you have had a unique career path, which has led you around the globe, including a year volunteering in Asia. How have you matured personally as a result of this experience?
Due to the different situations I was exposed to, I have acquired a deeper understanding of myself. I saw first-hand how people with low resources and terrible living conditions still manage a smile for you. This helped me learn to relativize some of the problems that we face in Europe.
How significant is your Master’s degree in Logistics with regards to your future career ambitions?
Definitely, the knowledge and experience gathered during my Master’s helps me excel in my assignments and gives me an advantage over many of my colleagues.
And the future? More studying? Travelling? Climbing the corporate ladder? Where do you see Daniel Sariñena in 10 years’ time?
Studying and travelling will continue to be a big part of my life. I love travelling, and in this fast-paced environment you have to be constantly on the ball, learning how to stand out from the rest. AB-Inbev is a great company in which I can develop professionally and there are a lot of opportunities available. I am passionate about customer service and the supply chain. Therefore, I will most likely develop my skills in these areas. The real question is, which country next?
