Presentation will cover the basic supply chain concepts such as supply chain management, the main characteristics of high performance supply chains and supply chain planning and network design. The second part is related to resilient supply chains, why do we need them what are the main pillars of SC resilience, and how to build resilient supply chains. The third part is related to Covid19 and supply chain resilience – what are the main lessons from Covid19, how global supply chains will change after Covid19, diversification in post covid supply chains, Covid19’ impact on digital transformation of supply chains.

Dr. Milos Milenkovic, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the MIT-Zaragoza Program, Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC)
Dr. Milos Milenkovic is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the MIT-Zaragoza Program. He holds also a position of Assistant Professor at The Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
Dr. Milenkovic has a Ph.D. degree of Technical Sciences in the field of Traffic and Transportation with a focus on rail freight car scheduling and fleet sizing problems, Magisterial degree of Technical Sciences with a focus on train dispatching problems and M.Sc. degree based on railway related intelligent transportation systems from the Faculty of Transport and Traffic Engineering, University of Belgrade, Serbia.
Dr. Milenkovic´s main research areas are mathematical optimization, model predictive control theory, time series analysis, project management and engineering economy with a special focus on transport related applications. He is engaged as a member of editorial board of a number of scientific conferences and also as a reviewer of a number of prestigious peer-reviewed journals, like “International Journal of Uncertainty, Fuzziness and Knowledge-Based Systems”, ”Applied Mathematical Modelling” and ”Transportation Research Part E”. During his career Dr Milenkovic published more than fifty papers in journals as well as on scientific conferences.
Dr. Milenkovic has also been employed for two years in Public Enterprise ”Serbian Railways” as a leading engineer for traffic organization and timetable construction.
Carolina Ciprés, Research Director, Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC)
Carolina Ciprés is Director of Research at ZLC, where she contributes to the definition of the center strategy, identifying, among others, synergies in terms of collaboration in research/education. She is a graduate from the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program with a Master of Engineering in Logistics and Supply Chain Management. She also holds an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering by University of Zaragoza (Spain). Prior to joining she worked in industrial companies from different areas such as plastic manufacturing, foodstuff, ICT and environmental engineering. She has participated in R&D projects on a national and European level in the fields of supply chain security and risk management, logistics clusters, urban mobility and new trends impacting on the supply chain.
Rohit Bhayana, Managing Partner and Co-Founder, Lumis Partners
Rohit is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Lumis Partners. He has been working across a global footprint, in creating strategies & building a synergistic portfolio of businesses for the Firm, whose philosophy is – investing, building and scaling Technology & Services Companies in domains with fragmented value chains.
Rohit’s background has been in running Technology businesses; managing M&As; and leading large Initiatives. At Lumis, Rohit has been actively building the team and executing the Operating philosophy of the fund in the multiple ecosystems and portfolios that have been built, by leveraging deep domain, incisive technology, and interventional analytics across sectors. enjoys hands-on involvement in structuring large deal economics, building IP assets, 6Sigma deep-dives, and being part of governance management of large Global clients.
Before Lumis Partners, Rohit was at GE, and in his last position, he was CEO of GE Software Solutions (GESS), which was chartered to build proprietary IP, Systems and Technology for GE. Rohit’s career at GE spanned multiple businesses including managing GE’s multi-billion-dollar Global Outsourcing Initiative in software & services; standardising Manufacturing Systems across GE Healthcare; and managing Y2K risk across the GE Capital businesses. Rohit has also worked with HCL Corporation, and Cadence Design Systems.
Overall, Rohit brings to bear strong experience in building, leading & scaling assetlight businesses while balancing Demand-Supply, working on both strong organic growth as well as acquisition led growth.
