The “Around the World in 80 Days Campaign” documents and communicates climate actions in the transport sector. It references the famous Jules Verne novel to create a time-bound process prior to COP21, which takes place from November 30th to December 11th in Paris, France.
Climate Actions in the transport sector help raise awareness amongst individuals, organizations and the business sector on the potential to undertake action on transport and climate change. They provide policy makers at national and local government level with confidence that action can be taken.
The 80 Days Campaign is an initiative of the Netherlands government and the Paris Process on Mobility and Climate (PPMC). The campaign supports the Transport Action Area under the Lima Paris Action Agenda (LPAA).
