In an increasingly fragmented global landscape, supply chains are facing new challenges driven by geopolitics, trade tensions, and the reconfiguration of international relationships.
In this context, the MIT Center for Transportation & Logistics (MIT CTL) is hosting the next SCALE Webinar on April 29, titled “Supply chains in a fractured world: Strategy beyond globalization”, in collaboration with the global SCALE network, of which Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is a member.
This session will bring together leading experts including Dr. Chris Mejia, Dr. Gerardo Heckmann, Dr. Yasmine Sabri, Dr. Rafael de Miguel Gonzalez, and Prof. Joachim Arts, who will share insights on how organizations can navigate increasing uncertainty.
The webinar will address key questions such as how geopolitical risks are reshaping network design and sourcing strategies, as well as the concept of de-risking from both operational and financial perspectives, including the impact of tariffs and industrial policies.
It will also explore the capabilities that distinguish leading organizations—those able to anticipate volatility, strengthen resilience, and turn uncertainty into competitive advantage.
A valuable opportunity to gain a structured perspective on the transition from efficiency-driven to resilience-oriented supply chains, and to identify actionable levers to mitigate risk while maintaining competitiveness.
