Our research line in Manufacturing and Logistics focuses on operational decision-making in complex industrial environments, with particular emphasis on the use of shop-floor management technologies to improve performance. At ZLC, we explore how real-time information can optimize operation sequencing and efficiently align supply with demand.
We analyze phenomena such as information distortion and the bullwhip effect in the supply chain, and we develop models that enable coordinated decision-making in push, pull, and hybrid production systems.
Our research has a strong analytical focus: we apply quantitative tools and business analytics to generate actionable knowledge, close technological gaps, and provide practical solutions to the challenges faced by industry.
