About us

Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) is a research and training institute promoted by the Government of Aragón in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and attached to the University of Zaragoza. Founded in 2003, ZLC is part of the MIT Global SCALE Network, an international alliance of leading centers dedicated to developing excellence in logistics and supply chain management.

Our mission is to be a international center of excellence in research and education in logistics, actively participating with industry and the public sector to develop and disseminate knowledge.

The MIT Global Supply Chain and Logistics Excellence (SCALE) network is an international alliance of leading research centres dedicated to developing supply chain and logistics excellence through innovation. It is designed and operates as a balanced network, where each centre contributes its resources to conduct joint research, administer educational programmes, and work with sponsoring companies.

ALICE

The European technology platform ALICE is designed to develop a comprehensive strategy for research, innovation and its application in the logistics market and innovation in supply chain management in Europe.

Erasmus+

The European Commission has awarded ZLC the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE). The ECHE establishes the general quality framework for European and international cooperation activities that a higher education institution can carry out under the Erasmus+ Program.

Logistop

Logistop was designed to be an intersectorial and multidisciplinary work forum, open to the participation and incorporation of all agents with interests in the field of Integral Logistics, Intermodality, Transport and Mobility.

ALIA

ALIA, a non-profit association whose mission is to improve the competitiveness of its member companies through collaboration and logistics innovation in Aragon and, at the same time, to add value to society.

ALASTRIA

Alastria is a non-profit association that promotes the digital economy through the development of decentralized accounting/Blockchain technologies.

Mobility City

Mobility City is an initiative of Fundación Ibercaja supported by the Government of Aragon, which aims to place Zaragoza and Aragon at the forefront of the debate on the new mobility and the transformation of associated industries and sectors.

MADCargo Forum

Foro MADCargo is an association of professionals belonging to all segments of the air logistics chain (from the shipper to the final receiver of the goods, including airlines, operators...), which make up the Madrid Air Cargo community.

A Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) is an ecosystem that aims to create the best conditions for long-term business success for everyone involved and ensures that every company can take advantage of digital opportunities.

Aragón Logistics Platform

Aragón has established itself as an internationally recognized logistics powerhouse, chosen by multinationals such as Inditex, Stellantis, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft as the base for their operations thanks to a unique combination of strategic factors: a privileged geostrategic location in the northeast of Spain, the availability of large-scale logistics land, excellent intermodal infrastructures, and a strong institutional commitment to the sector.

The region not only boasts the largest urbanized logistics area in Europe and parks such as PLAZA one of the most advanced in Southern Europe, but also offers flexible and well-connected infrastructures an on-site cargo airport, an integrated rail terminal, and direct links to major European corridors.

This vision began in the early 2000s, when the Government of Aragón committed to making logistics a driver of economic and social development.

Today, Aragón is a true logistics laboratory, where ideas become real solutions. From ZLC, we continue to foster this evolution through academic excellence, applied research, and a global vision —contributing to our region’s logistics leadership and to the development of a sector that is key to any advanced economy.
