Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) welcomes Diana Alarcón, a new PhD student selected for the competitive Marie Skłodowska-Curie Doctoral Network, who will join the European TRANSFORM project for the next three years.
A civil engineer with an international background in infrastructure project management, mobility analysis, and process optimization, Diana brings a strong technical foundation strengthened by two master’s degrees and experience in transport planning, data management, and mobility systems assessment. Her interdisciplinary profile aligns perfectly with the holistic approach of the TRANSFORM project, which studies transitions in urban mobility cultures and their socio-spatial implications across various European cities.

During her doctoral research, Diana will analyze how people perceive and value multimodal accessibility (walking, cycling, public transport, and private vehicles) with the aim of developing a conceptual and practical framework to integrate these perceptions into urban and transport planning. Her work will include collecting quantitative and qualitative data, designing visual tools for professionals, and collaborating with academic institutions and industry stakeholders across Europe.
Her joining strengthens ZLC’s commitment to research excellence, international mobility, and the advanced training of new generations of sustainable mobility specialists within the MIT Global SCALE network.
We warmly welcome Diana and wish her great success in this new research journey!
