Attitudes toward supply chain risk vary from country to country, yet relatively little has been known about these disparities - until now. The MIT Global SCALE Network has embarked on an international research project to chart the different perceptions of supply chain risk across the globe.

Should the purchasing function be aligned with corporate strategy? Since the answer is not clear-cut, the Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC), Zaragoza, Spain, has joined 13 academic partners in a research project to help companies decide how to position purchasing.

Laying the Ground for Global Logistics Parks

Logistics parks are dotted around the world, yet there is no standard framework for what constitutes such a facility. Through her master's degree thesis, a researcher at the LOGyCA-Center for Latin-American Logistics Innovation (LOGyCA-CLI) has taken the first step in defining a common framework for developers and users of these important facilities.
