INVENTORY MODELING AND OPTIMIZATION: A PRAGMATIC OVERVIEW
The Conference is in charge of Eugenio Cornacchia , Co-founder and Chief Scientist Tools Group at the Zaragoza Logistics Center
Eugenio Cornacchia is the Chief Scientist and co-founder of ToolsGroup (www.toolsgroup.com). After his MS degree in Operations Management from the Sloan School at MIT, Eugenio started at Draper Laboratories in Cambridge, MA, on a large project to re-design the logistic information system for Fiat spare parts. Apart from his graduate degree at MIT, Eugenio holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Genoa University in Italy and a post-graduate diploma in Operations Research from E. Mattei School, Milan, Italy
His talk will focus on inventory modeling for distribution intensive industries. More specifically, he will talk about concepts such as stochastic inventory optimization, modeling forecast uncertainty for inventory optimization and inventory positioning in multi-location systems.
