Dr. Richard Pibernik holds the Chair of Supply Chain Management at the European Business School (EBS) in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany. Within EBS, he also serves as the Executive Research Director of the Supply Chain Management Institute –an international research institute for Purchasing, Logistics and Supply Chain Management with more than 40 researchers located in Germany, China, India, and Russia– and as the Vice Dean of Research. Dr. Pibernik is also an Adjunct Professor of Supply Chain Management within the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program at Zaragoza Logistics Center in Zaragoza, Spain. He received his master’s degree and his doctorate in Business Administration from Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. His research interests center on Supply Chain Information Systems. He has active research projects on the design of order fulfillment systems, capacity and revenue management, coordinating distributed decisions in supply chains, and supply chain risk management.
