“CO2 LOGISTIC: The carbon footprint calculation in logistics organizations”
Abstract
Carbon footprint calculation is becoming very important to improve the corporative image of logistics companies in terms of added value. This presentation shows the methodology developed in the framework of the project CO2LOGISTIC, for the calculation of carbon footprint in the logistics activities. There are currently some standards for the carbon footprint calculation, but no official regulation exists yet related to logistics specifically. The presentation will show the state of the art of the carbon footprint in the logistics field, the methodology followed to calculate it in a logistics organization and an example of a real application in a transport company.
