Dr. Mozart Menezes

Dr. Mozart Menezes is a professor at the Kedge Business School –Bordeaux, France. Previously, he has been a faculty member at the Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary; the Zaragoza Logistics Center, Spain; and at HEC School of Management – Paris. Professor Menezes has held visiting positions at the Center for Transportation and Logistics (CTL) at MIT– Boston, USA; and at ICN Business School in Nancy, France. From 2007 to 2012, Dr. Menezes was the PhD Program Director at the Zaragoza Logistics Center and during his tenure in that institution he was awarded the Research Chair Ramón y Cajal in Economics by the Spanish Government.

Dr. Menezes has worked with either as employee or in projects, as consultant or advisor, to several companies including Alcatel-Lucent, City of Calgary, Environmental Research Systems, General Motors, Imaginarium, Medecins Sans Frontieres, Procter and Gamble, Saica Natur, Solutia, and others. He has worked as investigators in several projects funded by the European Union, Spanish Government and the Government of Aragon.

Dr. Menezes obtained a BSc degree in Civil Engineering from the Universidade Federal do Para, Belém, Brazil. Dr. Menezes received an MSc degree in Civil Engineering specializing in Project Management and an MSc degree in Industrial Administration from Clemson University, USA. He received a PhD degree in Operations Management from the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto, Canada.

His research areas of interest include Supply Chain Network Design, Supply Chain Disruptions, Facility Location, Supply Chain Management and Workforce Management. Methodologically, his interests are concentrated on combinatorial optimization. His work has been published in highly respected journals such as the Annals of Operations Research, Decision Sciences, the European Journal of Operational Research, Omega, Operations research, among others.
