Project Description

The objectives of this project are:

  • To study the improvements and innovations in current logistics processes, focusing on assessing the application of new information and communication technologies in regard to data collection and reading, auto-ID systems in localization and product traceability monitoring systems
  • Ability to simulate processes to assess the reorganization of the logistics processes resulting from the application of new technologies, which in turn result in analyses that make it possible to detect current problems, to diagnose their relevance and possible mitigation
  • Diagnosis of the current situation of the logistics process of a case-study company, which will make it possible to identify the weak points of the process as well as the sources of the problems
  • Creation of an economic viability study in order to assess the economic impact of the implementation of the solutions proposed, from the point of view of the initial investment budget and from that of the expected savings during the operations phase
