Dr. Luis Herrero

Dr. Herrero has been working in operations and technology management for the last three decades. He has been working on leading multinationals companies operating in different economical sectors of the value chain: consulting & services, industry and distribution – retail. Luis Herrero has held positions of senior management (member of the boards of different companies in Spain, Italy and Portugal), as COO and CIO. Currently, Luis Herrero is holding the position of CIO & Supply Director for the multinational company Leroy Merlin in Spain.

He obtained his BSc degree in Industrial Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, his Executive MBA degree from IE Business School and his DEA in Economics for the Autonoma University of Madrid. He received his Ph.D. in logistics and supply chain management from the University of Zaragoza -Zaragoza Logistics Center.

Luis Herrero is also a lecturer at IE Business School and teaches at other masters and executive programs. He is a regular speaker on operational-supply chain and information technology-related conferences.
