Dr. Wenyi Chen

Wenyi Chen is an Assistant Professor in Supply Chain Management, ESC Rennes School of Business, France. Her primary research interest is in the area of sustainable operations, particularly the interfaces of operations and marketing/economics. Her research focus has been on studying new business models that help the environmentally/socially sustainable operations in (i) e-waste management, and (ii) logistics economically sustainable. Her research has been presented at major international academic conferences seminar, and published in leading journals and conference proceedings in her field.

Wenyi received her B.Eng. in Civil Engineering and B.A. in Economics from Xiamen University (China), MSc in Industrial Systems & Engineering from National University of Singapore (Singapore), and Ph.D. in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the MIT-Zaragoza International Logistics Program (Spain). During her doctoral study, she spent significant time at MIT, Harvard, McGill University and University of Pompeu Fabra. Before joining ESC Rennes, she was a postdoc at McGill University (2014-2015) and University of Twente (2015-2016).
